That doesn’t count as first look does it?   Naaaaaaaa……

I have to say this flower hits me right in the soul…every….single….time….it is my “soul flower.”  A flower that feeds the soul happiness.

Lauren is just like that anemone flower in her bouquet – she makes my soul sing with these gorgeous playful moments that she creates while a misting rain cascades upon her.  Does she care?  No.  This is a Bride that every photographer wants, the carefree, happy, anything goes for pictures bride.   In this moment we took down her train so she could throw it around.  She was delighted to do it and she did manage to get her dress dirty with mud on it but she simply looked at the mud and giggled at it.  It was a moment I will never forget.  This bride takes the cake of all our rock star brides of our ENTIRE profession of photographing weddings.  Sorry for the mic drop here but I cannot tell you how the small things that can and will occur on your wedding day don’t matter, all that matters is your marriage and your smiles and carefree mindset to get rock out amazing timeless images.

Here she goes twirling her dress around and look at her smile.  She is not caring for one moment that I have her standing in water.  She is living in the moment and that dress can be washed, but this dress will have so much character.  Lauren, thank you for this moment, it will forever be embedded in my memory.

This is my ultimate favorite venue, look at this barn ya’ll!  Look at how the light behind her is cascading throughout the beams of the barn.  This image is everything with our Profoto B1 lights at work.  We shot this natural y’all and it just doesn’t stack up.

This sweet dancing flower girl loves to give her Popeye face.  Soooooo cute she was, look out for her dance floor moments a little further below…

Yes I did!  I made all her gorgeous bridesmaids go out and weather the rain and wind just like our bride!  They were standing under the barn to stay out of the elements but…whats the fun of that?    Out they go to have the most fun animated convo EVER!!!!!  They didn’t disappoint and they also didn’t care about anything but making Lauren happy.

The rain pushed the ceremony to be indoors, Lauren and John were totally ready to have their ceremony outside under umbrellas but they considered their guests and figured they would want to stay dry and warm.  We did a reverse aisle which was really quite different and fun.

Gahhhhhhh – and she looks back at him.

These signs were a surprise and they had everyone laughing so hard!!!!  “Please Cry” and “Applause”

Yes, every ceremony ends with a kiss, but Lauren totally submitted her own kind of kiss, it was a literal kiss…a Hershey Kiss… and he ate it!   LOL.  He totally ate her kiss!   And then they kissed!

GROUP HUGGGGGGGGG….

I love that when I am shooting tall / wide – that Adam is shooting tight.  We tend to stalk each others lenses to see how to fill in the pieces of the puzzle to provide a range of shot for our clients.

My shot!   Wide and all encompassing…..

Same moment but a different angle from Adam who is shooting for close emotion and a different perspective.

Lauren giving her first orders….”John pick up my skirt and hold it up high”…  John caves and laughs at her, he picks up her skirt and she goes into modeling for me.     One of the many great moments of the day….you just had to be there.

I am obsessed with this moss growing on the covered bridge and I hate not including its glorious color in my shots, so I make it appear every time.  🙂

That pointer finger though Lauren….why do I think that is the cutest thing of all in this photograph?   Lauren you are even modeling through to your fingertips!  I mean…that is not discounting this STUNNING floral arrangement by the incredible Noblewood!  They are incredible.

No explanation is necessary…just… “ROCK STAR COUPLE!!!!”

Can I just stop to pause to say how lucky Adam and I are to have Erin as our assistant?  Erin has zero photography background, but one thing Erin does well is watch me and she knows my cues on where to go when I start to move.  I love that she can be close with my off camera  flash in moments like this.  Erin, you are such a gift to us.  Thank you for listening, and being the light Goddess…

How special is it that your sister makes your WEDDING CAKE?   Ahhhhh – yep, very special.

I cannot wait to go to get this beer again.  I HATE beer, sorry…..but this beer…I can drink this beer with a smile.  🙂   I was forced to try this beer while working.  I don’t drink on the job EVER, but I had to try it.

Food worthy of a plate shot.  Can I tell you how crazy I was over this fried chicken.  I don’t think I have ever enjoyed a piece of chicken so much, and it wasn’t because I was hungry y’all.  I mean, I was hungry of course, but this chicken was so juicy and it was flavored with the most brilliant seasoning.  I am a fan!

Classic Lauren style…just stab the cake and then feed yourselves!  :). Hilarious moment # 3000

John brewed this beer himself.  I didn’t get to try this beer but I know others enjoyed.
